Free Sample Marketing Plan
In this article I will discuss a sample marketing plan for free. Marketing strategies are important to provide you with direction and keep you focused on the desired outcomes. If you do not write a business strategy that is similar to the free sample marketing plan I have provided below, you are probably not very focused or organized. Even if you are organized and have the marketing strategy for your company in your head, you will not be able to delegate or automate your business unless you actually write down and create your own marketing plan.
How to Name a Business

This is marketing 101, but I’ll spell it out, as it also applies to picking a domain name:
- Keep your name short, easy to spell and remember
- Do not use kewl-spellingz.com, they are hard to remember and guess
- If it will be listed in directories like the yellow pages, use an early letter or number
- Try to convey your identity in your name: Jiffy Lube
- Ask how the name sounds on the phone, will they confuse it with something else?
- Do not use a trendy name, when the trend dies, so will your business
- Do not limit your business by the name: John’s Tractors vs John’s Farm Supply, unless that is ALL you will ever do
- Make sure the name is positive, not negative. Subconsciously people judge your business based off of the words you choose
- It is always safe to use your own name, both for copyright reasons and brandability.
